Global Policy is an awesome site for international politics and you guys might want to check it out frequently.

The home link is this one:

Here is a list of the newest and most important articles for the Middle East Caucus...

1. This article is about The Goldstone Report which talks about Hamas and Israel commiting war crimes during the Gaza War (December 27, 2008 – January 18, 2009). It is super important to all resolution topics concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It's a long read, but it has many good information against Israel, I'm basically trying to say that the Palestinian Authority delegation should read this article.

2. This article is about sanctions. Basically it talks about how sanctions work and if they are effective. It analyzes past examples of sanctions and reveals if they were a positive step towards progress or not. It is also long, but a must-read to all delegations! Because this is a guide to policymakers, and you guys are policymakers, please read this!

3. This is a list of articles about sanction debates concerning Iraq. I did not read it 'cause its too many articles and because I'm leaving home right now! Check it out though 'cause it looks like it could help you guys.

Delegates,

As I have told you the General Assembly (GA) is in session at this moment. This link leads you to a compilation of quotes said by heads of states from various nations during this year's GA. You've got quotes from the Palestinian, Israeli and Iranian leaders on issues that we will definitely be discussing in SALMUN. Check out Chavez's new quote too 'cause its hilarious.
